Girard had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Monday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Heritage Christian Academy Chargers.

Girard had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-19, 25-13.

Girard found their leader in sophomore Breelee Merrell, who had 18 digs and two aces.

Girard's victory bumped their record up to 28-11. As for Heritage Christian Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-20-1 record this season.

Girard has already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Frontenac on the 20th. Heritage Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
