Basketball Game Preview: Lowpoint-Washburn Wildcats vs. Peoria Heights Patriots

Having just played yesterday, the Lowpoint-Washburn Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Peoria Heights Patriots at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.

On Friday, Lowpoint-Washburn came up short against Roanoke-Benson and fell 45-32.

Meanwhile, Peoria Heights hadn't done well against Brimfield recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Peoria Heights walked away with a 55-47 win over Brimfield. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Patriots.

Peoria Heights' victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-15. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points over those games. As for Lowpoint-Washburn, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 14-11 record this season.

Lowpoint-Washburn came up short against Peoria Heights in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 68-56. Can Lowpoint-Washburn avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
