South Newton scored the most points they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 63-56 to the Cissna Park Timberwolves. The Rebels just can't catch a break and have now endured six losses in a row.

South Newton's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dominic Scott, who went 8 of 9 en route to 17 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Matthew Armstrong, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 12 boards.

Even though they lost, South Newton smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

South Newton's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Cissna Park, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-21.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Newton and Donovan will face off at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest having both just played. That matchup will pit two of the most dominant forwards against one another: Brendan Hennieke and Armstrong. As for Cissna Park, they will take on Watseka at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Considering Cissna Park has lost six straight at home and Watseka three straight on the road, this one might come down to who's more desperate to change their momentum.
