Northeastern extended the longest winning streak in 2A Conference 13 this week by beating Hertford County, 55-14. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.

Northeastern took down the Bears 55-14 last week, the largest margin of any game. Quaymon Williams threw for 240 yards and 2 touchdowns in the win.

Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Antonio Moore's team's Williams and Travis McWilliams have proven to be a lethal combination. Williams has thrown for 2,247 yards this season, while McWilliams has 54 catches for 889 yards. Wyatt Robertson from First Flight leads the league in rushing with 825 yards.

The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Northeastern takes on second place Currituck County. Last week, the Eagles bested Hertford County, while Currituck County topped the Nighthawks.

The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Knights take on Northeastern. Currituck County has allowed 133 points this season, while the Eagles have given up 94. John Wheeler's team allowed 0 points last week as it defeated First Flight.

Northeastern led 2A Conference 13 in scoring this week after putting up 55 points on Scott Privott's team. Williams during the win.
