Roxana lost to Red Bud back in March of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. Roxana came out on top against Red Bud by a score of 9-5. With that win, the Shells brought their scoring average up to 6.1 runs per game.

Bradley Herrin looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Mason Crump, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in May of 2024. Max Autery was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Roxana was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .412. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Roxana's victory bumped their record up to 6-1-1. As for Red Bud, they suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 3-2.

Looking ahead, Roxana will head out to square off against Southwestern at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Roxana's pitchers better be ready for this one: Southwestern has averaged an impressive 10.6 runs per game this season. As for Red Bud, they will host Lebanon at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
