Baseball Game Preview: B-G-M Bears vs. Lynnville-Sully Hawks

B-G-M hasn't had much luck against Lynnville-Sully recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Bears will look to defend their home field against the Hawks at 5:30 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (B-G-M 3.8, Lynnville-Sully 1.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.

On Saturday, B-G-M came up short against Highland and fell 9-5.

Meanwhile, Lynnville-Sully put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over Belle Plaine. The Hawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by six runs or more this season.

Lynnville-Sully's win was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-0. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for B-G-M, their loss dropped their record down to 6-2.

B-G-M suffered a grim 19-0 defeat to Lynnville-Sully when the teams last played back in June of 2024. Can the Bears avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
