West Vigo is a perfect 5-0 against Brown County since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Vikings will challenge the Eagles at 6:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
As a matter of fact, West Vigo put up the most runs they have all season on Monday. Everything went their way against North Central as they made off with a 20-1 victory. The win continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Thunderbirds: they've now won four in a row.
Brylie Graves tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over five innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (four).

On the hitting side, Briley Jones was incredible, going 2-for-5 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Annabel Coulston was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.
Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Monday. Brown County blew past Mooresville Christian 11-1. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for Brown County's hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.
Cami Keaton made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits (and not a single walk). Keaton was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Those stolen bases marked the first that she has snagged this season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Emma Woolems, who got on base in two of her three plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Aubree Denton, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one run.
West Vigo's record now sits at 9-5. As for Brown County, their record is now 6-11.
West Vigo got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in May of 2025 against Brown County by a conclusive 13-6 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
