Cathedral Prep has gone 8-1 against Conneaut Area recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Ramblers will be playing at home against the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. Cathedral Prep will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
Cathedral Prep is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 14-12 victory over Conneaut on Monday.
Kendyll Steves made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits. Steves was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Addison Baldi, who went 4-for-5 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in May of 2025. Another player making a difference was Ambra Swyers, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Conneaut Area suffered their closest loss since April 8, 2025 on Monday. They fell just short of Girard by a score of 4-2. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Hailey Gilliland and Abby Potts stepped up to the plate in a big way. Gilliland went 3-for-4 with two runs, while Potts went 3-for-4 with two RBI.
Cathedral Prep's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-14. As for Conneaut Area, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.
