Basketball Recap: LeRoy-Ostrander Takes a Loss

LeRoy-Ostrander lost against Grand Meadow back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The LeRoy-Ostrander Cardinals were beaten by the Grand Meadow Superlarks 75-37. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 384th, while the Superlarks are ranked 111th).

Despite the loss, LeRoy-Ostrander still got an impressive performance from Kendall Olson, who posted nine points. What's more, Olson also posted a 43% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's achieved since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Benita Nolt, who put up 16 points.

LeRoy-Ostrander dropped their record down to 1-23 with the defeat, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Grand Meadow, the victory was the 14th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 22-3.

LeRoy-Ostrander has already played their next matchup, a 68-34 loss against Kingsland on the 14th. As for Grand Meadow, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 47-46 win against Lanesboro on the 14th.
