The Cloudland Highlanders had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 62-22 win over Tri-Cities Christian. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 30-10.
When it comes to explaining why Tri-Cities Christian lost, one person who can't be blamed is Faith Greene. Despite the final result, she scored 11 points. Greene scored a full 50% of Tri-Cities Christian's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Cloudland's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Tri-Cities Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.
Cloudland will head out on the road to face off against Happy Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Tri-Cities Christian, they will face off against Marion at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
