Recap: South Bend vs. Crescent Loggers
This season hasn't been kind to South Bend, who are still winless after their seventh matchup. They had to suffer through a rough 52-25 loss at the hands of Crescent.
Lukas Love was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 20 rebounds for Crescent. That makes it four consecutive games in which Love has scored at least 25% of Crescent's points. Another player making a difference was Conner Bauers, who scored 16 points along with six steals.
South Bend's defeat was their fifth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-7. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 29.6 points per game. As for Crescent, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Bend will take on North Beach at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Crescent, they will be playing at home against Darrington at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
