Softball Recap: Odem Owls vs. George West Longhorns

Odem won the last time they faced George West, and things went their way on Thursday too. The Odem Owls walked away with an 11-6 win over the George West Longhorns.

Aria Bray was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off nine hits (and not a single walk). Bray has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't pitched less than six innings in four consecutive pitching appearances. Bray was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with a double.

In other batting news, Odem let Isabella Salazar and Isabella Flores loose on the outfield. Salazar went 1-for-4 with a home run, two runs, and two RBI, while Flores scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaelynn Garcia, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.
