Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Drew Central). They secured a 79-75 W over the Rison Wildcats on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Pirates also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.

Drew Central is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.8 points per game. As for Rison, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games dating back to last season and leaves them with a 3-1 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Drew Central will take on Monticello in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on December 20th. As for Rison, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Warren at 5:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025.
