Volleyball Recap: Superior Takes a Loss

Superior extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping them down to 3-24. They lost 3-0 to the Sandy Creek Cougars. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Wildcats have suffered since September 25th.

Their offense was headlined by Olivia Smullins and Cora Schnakenberg, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Maddi Bargen and her 16 assists.

As for Sandy Creek, their win ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 19-12. They not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 25th (when they won 3-0).

Sandy Creek found their leader in freshman Emersyn Pohlmeier, who had nine digs and four aces.

Coming up, Superior will head out to take on Grand Island Central Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sandy Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
