Recap: North Paulding Wolfpack vs. Grayson Rams
The North Paulding Wolfpack and the Grayson Rams squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the North Paulding Wolfpack had to settle for second. North Paulding was the victim of a tough 42-18 loss at the hands of Grayson. North Paulding's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
North Paulding's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Tyler Niehr, who threw for 212 yards and two touchdowns, and Javarius George who picked up 89 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Even if they lost, North Paulding's defensive line still kept up the pressure with 5.5 sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Aidan Maddox and Danny Pitts who racked up 5.5 sacks between them.
Grayson was led to victory by Amari Alston and Jeff Davis. Alston rushed for 96 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries, while Davis threw for 254 yards and three touchdowns while completing 84.2% of his passes. Grayson also got help from Alex Sanchez who showed off his sure hands for 91 receiving yards.
North Paulding's loss dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Grayson, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-2.
North Paulding does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Grayson will take on Buford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Buford is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.
