Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Wildwood walked away with it. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Fallbrook Warriors on Thursday, sneaking past 3-2. The Wolves are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 15 straight.

Wildwood had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 24-26, 25-23, 25-21, 15-13.

Wildwood's win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-12. As for Fallbrook, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 26-15.

Coming up, Wildwood will venture away from home to square off against Mater Dei Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Crusaders will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Wolves surely won't give up without a fight. Fallbrook does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
