Easton Barrett turned in yet another pitching appearance with more than ten strikeouts on Thursday. Jordan had no answer to Barrett as he struck out 11 batters over 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits.

Barrett's strong effort led Springville over Jordan and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Barrett has dominated as far as hits are concerned (he's averaged 0.3 per game this season), but he's got his work cut out for him considering Jordan has only allowed 6.07 per game this season.
