With a playoff win on the line, Space Coast rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They blew past the Trinity Prep Saints 22-1. The Vipers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matchups by nine runs or more this season.
Kylie Ulmer was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Ulmer was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
In other batting news, Abby Minear was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Kami Dacko, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Space Coast kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.
Space Coast moved to 13-11 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak. As for Trinity Prep, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season.
Space Coast will square off against Melbourne Central Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Hustlers will roll in looking for their 14th straight win, something the Vipers surely won't give up without a fight. Trinity Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
