Basketball Recap: Greer Yellow Jackets vs. Seneca Bobcats
Greer lost against Seneca back in November of 2019 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Greer Yellow Jackets fell 57-48 to the Seneca Bobcats. The Yellow Jackets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Miyana Chamberlain continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Seneca, going 7 of 12 on her way to 19 points and five steals. Chamberlain is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 11 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ja'Nyce Floyd, who posted eight points along with six assists and five boards.
Greer's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Seneca, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-8.
Greer and Travelers Rest will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday without much rest having both just played. Travelers Rest will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Greer surely won't give up without a fight. As for Seneca, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Blue Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Blue Ridge is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.7 points per game this season.
