Baseball Recap: Grand Junction Central Comes Up Short

Grand Junction Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 10-4 to the Palisade Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Warriors of the 13-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Grand Junction Central saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trevor Ziek, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Grand Junction Central's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Palisade, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-7 record.

While Grand Junction Central had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
