Basketball Recap: Buckland Comes Up Short

Buckland saw some tournament action on Wednesday. They fell 70-63 to the Effie Kokrine Charter Warriors. The Sissauni have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jonas Carroll was his usual excellent self, putting up 33 points for Effie Kokrine Charter. The game was Carroll's seventh in a row with at least 18 points. Another player making a difference was Esai Joseph, who posted 17 points.

Buckland's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Effie Kokrine Charter, the win keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Buckland didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 119-109 loss against Walter Northway on the 31st. As for Effie Kokrine Charter, they have also already played their next contest, a 61-51 victory against Tikigaq on the 30th.
