Baseball Recap: Palos Verdes Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Palos Verdes's offense. They fell just short of the Mira Costa Mustangs by a score of 2-0 on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Sea Kings in their meetings with the Mustangs: they've now lost three in a row.

Palos Verdes got a good showing from Jake Rodriguez, who didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched.

Palos Verdes' defeat dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Mira Costa, their win was their 11th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Palos Verdes will welcome Torrance at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Mira Costa, they will host San Pedro at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
