While East Limestone's win against Elkmont wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Indians narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Red Devils 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Indians have posted against the Red Devils since April 27, 2021.

The team relied heavily on Miami Wilcox, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double. Kailey Matthews was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

The victory made it two in a row for East Limestone and bumps their season record up to 17-10. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of two runs across that stretch. As for Elkmont, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-13.

Coming up, East Limestone will take on Randolph School at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Elkmont, they will take on Central in a tournament on Saturday.
