Softball Recap: Key West Victorious

Key West owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-0 win over the Satellite Scorpions.

The result came thanks to Brianna Brenner's shutout, as she gave up just a hit and racked up eight Ks. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.3 strikeouts per game.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Vera Rodger, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one double. That triple was her first of the season.

Key West now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Satellite, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-3.

Coming up, Key West will look to defend their home field on Friday against Palmer Trinity at 7:00 p.m. As for Satellite, they are taking a road trip to square off against Eau Gallie at 6:00 p.m. on March 24th.
