Softball Recap: Marion County Red Raiders vs. Hubbertville Lions
With a playoff game on the line, Marion County rose to the challenge on Monday. They won by a run and slipped past the Hubbertville Lions 6-5. The victory was some much needed relief for Marion County as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
For Hubbertville's part, Karlee Pollard made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with a stolen base and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Kylee Dunn, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4.
Marion County's win bumped their record up to 9-19. As for Hubbertville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-17.
As of now, neither Marion County nor Hubbertville have any future games scheduled.
