Basketball Game Preview: North Polk Comets vs. Carroll Tigers

North Polk is a perfect 9-0 against Carroll since December of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The North Polk Comets will be playing at home against the Carroll Tigers at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Carroll will be up against a hot North Polk squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Everything went North Polk's way against Bondurant-Farrar on Friday as North Polk made off with a 76-52 victory. Given the Comets' advantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked third, while the Bluejays are ranked 139th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Carroll came tearing into Saturday's match with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13 points) and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Monarchs with a sharp 51-29 win.

North Polk pushed their record up to 18-1 with the victory, which was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Carroll, their win bumped their record up to 16-4.

Everything went North Polk's way against Carroll in their previous meeting back in January, as North Polk made off with a 56-35 victory. Does North Polk have another victory up their sleeve, or will Carroll turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
