Basketball Game Preview: Glendale Nitros vs. Hoover Tornados

Glendale is on a three-game streak of home losses, Hoover a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Wednesday. The Glendale Nitros will host the Hoover Tornados at 6:45 p.m. One thing working in Glendale's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six matchups.

On Monday, everything went Glendale's way against Muir as Glendale made off with a 65-42 victory. The Nitros have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 22 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Hoover lost to Burbank at home by a 69-54 margin on Monday.

Glendale has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 23.7 points. As for Hoover, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-11.

Glendale couldn't quite finish off Hoover in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 and fell 57-55. Can Glendale avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
