Softball Recap: Taylor Extends Winning Streak to Three

Taylor entered their tilt with Umatilla on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 10-6. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 13-11 on March 6th.

Cheyenne Hough spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and two unearned) runs on 11 hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Lacey Price, who scored a run while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Taylor Lane was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Taylor's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Umatilla, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.

Taylor wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 7-2 loss against Spruce Creek on the 27th. As for Umatilla, they have also already played their next contest, an 8-5 win against Tavares on the 27th.
