Basketball Game Preview: Elida Bulldogs vs. Granville Blue Aces

The Elida Bulldogs will face off against the Granville Blue Aces at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Elida sitting on five straight wins and Granville on 11.

Elida is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 60-57 victory over Lima Senior. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bulldogs have posted since December 7, 2024.

Centennial typically has all the answers at home, but on Wednesday Granville proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Stars by a score of 41-30. Given the Blue Aces' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 70th, while the Stars are ranked 214th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Granville's victory was their 20th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 23-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.3 points over those games. As for Elida, their win bumped their record up to 16-9.
