Baseball Game Preview: Army-Navy Warriors vs. Rock Academy Warriors

For the second straight game, Army-Navy will face off against Rock Academy. Army-Navy will head out to take on Rock Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.

Army-Navy's last matchup with Rock Academy could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Wednesday. Army-Navy came up short against Rock Academy, falling 9-3. The loss continues a trend for Army-Navy in their meetings with Rock Academy: they've now lost four in a row.

For Rock Academy's part, Alec Endicott was a major factor no matter where he played. He tossed 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Endicott has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, earning two runs and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Ethan Daldo was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Max Gimbel, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Rock Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in five consecutive games.

Rock Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Army-Navy, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-14.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Army-Navy has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Rock Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 8.6 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
