Springfield has gone a perfect 8-0 against Napoleon recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Blue Devils will look to defend their home field against the Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Springfield's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 4-0 win over Ross. The Blue Devils haven't had any issues with the Little Giants recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Napoleon posted their closest win since April 11th on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Rossford, sneaking past 10-9.

Faith Rubinstein (2026) was a standout: she got on base in all five of her plate appearances with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Carmen Rupp (2028), who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with four runs and one RBI.

Napoleon always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The victory got Napoleon back to even at 8-8. As for Springfield, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Springfield got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in May of 2025 against Napoleon by a conclusive 14-3 score. Will the Blue Devils repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
