Softball Recap: Tri-County North Wins Going Away Against Bradford

Tri-County North barely beat Bradford the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Panthers blew past the Railroaders 11-0 on Tuesday. That looming 11-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Panthers yet this season.

Kasidi Daugherty made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. Those three runs gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Tri-County North let Mya Pinion and Chloe Jackson run wild. Pinion went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI, while Jackson went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. That's the most RBI Pinion has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Gracie Hemp, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

Tri-County North kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They are 4-2 when they post 11 or more hits.

The victory got Tri-County North back to even at 6-6. As for Bradford, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-6.

Tri-County North didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 6-0 win against Preble Shawnee on the 17th. As for Bradford, they have also already played their next contest, a 15-1 victory against Franklin Monroe on the 17th.
