Having struggled with seven losses in a row, Jackson finally turned things around against Washington on Tuesday. They skirted past the Blue Lions 3-2.
Jackson wouldn't go down easily and took Washington into a fifth set where they got it done with a six-point win. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 25-13, 25-21, 20-25, 15-9.
Jackson was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 15 aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved they're ace total in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Chillicothe was able to grind out a solid win over McClain on Tuesday, taking the game 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cavaliers.
Chillicothe was especially dominant in the fourth set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-17, 19-25, 25-13.
Chillicothe found their leader in underclassman Natalie Dudley, who had eight digs and three aces. Dudley also set a new season high mark in assists with ten.
Jackson's victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-15. As for Chillicothe, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
