After a string of ten wins, Imperial's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They came up short against the Mater Dei Catholic Crusaders, falling 9-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Tigers have suffered since February 23, 2024.

Imperial saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hannah Johnson, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple was Johnson's first of the season.

Imperial's loss dropped their record down to 11-3. As for Mater Dei Catholic, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-1.

Imperial has already played their next match, a 9-0 victory against Palo Verde Valley on the 1st. As for Mater Dei Catholic, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Christian on the 29th.
