Softball Recap: Jonesboro-Hodge Takes a Loss

Jonesboro-Hodge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Mansfield Wolverines, falling 19-9. One positive for the Tigers, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Jonesboro-Hodge's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Mansfield, with the victory, they broke their nine-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-3.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Jonesboro-Hodge Tigers duke it out with Lincoln Prep Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mansfield, they will challenge Florien at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Florien has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.33 runs per game on average), something Mansfield will no doubt try to take advantage of.
