Baseball Recap: Chesapeake Panthers vs. Portsmouth Trojans
Chesapeake had lost three straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped their record down to 2-10-1 to make it four. They came up short against the Portsmouth Trojans, falling 15-0. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Panthers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
As for Portsmouth, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games.
