Last Tuesday, Palo Duro earned a 63-55 victory over Caprock. Given the Dons' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 47th, while the Longhorns are ranked 865th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Lubbock was beaten by Lubbock-Cooper 74-46 on Tuesday.

Palo Duro pushed their record up to 15-1 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.0 points per game. As for Lubbock, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.
