Softball Recap: Simi Valley Takes a Loss

Simi Valley entered their game against Camarillo on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Simi Valley came up short against Camarillo, falling 12-5. The Pioneers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Scorpions from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Kylie Arellano made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits she has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Arianna Ochoa, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

Simi Valley is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-5-1. As for Camarillo, they pushed their record up to 8-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Simi Valley didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 4-2 victory against El Camino Real on the 24th. As for Camarillo, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Oxnard on the 22nd.
