Football Game Preview: Lake View Wildcats vs. Mather Rangers

Lake View hasn't had much luck against Mather recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Wildcats will be playing at home against the Rangers at 6:00 p.m. Lake View will be strutting in after a win while Mather will be coming in after a defeat.

Lake View took a loss when they played away from home last Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They walked away with a 20-12 victory over Urban Prep-Bronzeville/Urban Prep-Englewood. The win was some much needed relief for the Wildcats as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Mather's game on Thursday was all tied up 16-16 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of Curie by a score of 30-28. While the Rangers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Condors 10-0 in the first quarter.

Mather's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 4-2. As for Lake View, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 3-3.
