Soccer Game Preview: Platt vs. Bristol Eastern

Platt is 0-9-1 against Bristol Eastern since September of 2015 but things could change on Tuesday. The Panthers are taking a road trip to take on the Lancers at 3:45 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Platt barely beat Maloney the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 7-3 margin over the Spartans on Wednesday. Considering Platt's offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Meanwhile, Bristol Eastern made easy work of Bristol Central on Wednesday and carried off a 5-1 win. Considering Bristol Eastern have won six matchups by more than three goals this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Bristol Eastern now has a winning record of 8-7-1. As for Platt, their victory bumped their record up to 9-4-3.

Platt might still be hurting after the 5-0 loss they got from Bristol Eastern when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
