Volleyball Recap: Orthopaedic Takes a Loss

If Orthopaedic was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of USC-MAE last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Vipers fell 3-1 to the Downtown Magnets Suns on Thursday. The Vipers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Suns earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

While Orthopaedic had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-20, 20-25, 25-18.

Orthopaedic's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 9-6. As for Downtown Magnets, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Orthopaedic will welcome Aspire Ollin at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Downtown Magnets, they will venture away from home to take on Hollywood at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
