The Edina Hornets will face off against the Washburn Millers at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
Edina couldn't beat Maple Grove on Thursday even though they stacked five runs on them in the seventh inning. The Hornets took a 12-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Crimson. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bode McConnell was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Edina is 3-1 when McConnell posts two or more runs, but 6-7-1 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Jackson McGrath, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.
Meanwhile, Washburn posted their closest win since April 30th on Wednesday. They skirted past Minneapolis South 6-5. The victory continues a trend for the Millers in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won four in a row.
Jackson Karn made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 4.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits. Karn was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jack Moyer, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.
Washburn was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.
Washburn's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-4. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of three runs across that stretch. As for Edina, their loss dropped their record down to 9-8-1.
