Baseball Recap: Thornton Wildcats vs. Butler Lynx
On Thursday, everything went the Thornton Wildcats's way against the Butler Lynx as the Thornton Wildcats made off with a 16-1 victory.
The team relied heavily on Frederick Douglass, who scored three runs and stole four bases while getting on base in three of his six plate appearances. Julio Salazar was another key contributor, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 1-for-3.
Thornton now has a winning record of 2-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Thornton will play host again on Wednesday to welcome Thornwood, where first pitch is scheduled at 11:00 a.m. As for Butler, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off.
