Baseball Recap: Community Christian Academy Wins Going Away Against Lake Lure Classical Academy

Community Christian Academy had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 11-run drubbing they dealt Lake Lure Classical Academy on Tuesday. Community Christian Academy was the clear victor by a 16-5 margin over Lake Lure Classical Academy. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Raptors recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Landon Norman was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in May of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances.

In other batting news, Cole Richardson was a standout: he scored three runs while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Aiden Thomas, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Community Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .610. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lake Lure Classical Academy only posted an OBP of .417.

Community Christian Academy's record now sits at 6-1. As for Lake Lure Classical Academy, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
