Softball Recap: Dimmitt Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Dimmitt took on Littlefield on Wednesday. The Dimmitt Bobcats lost 23-2 to the Littlefield Wildcats. The Bobcats have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meetings.

Dimmitt saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Julia LaRue, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run. That's the most hits LaRue has posted since back in April of 2024.

Dimmitt now has a losing record of 6-7-1. As for Littlefield, their victory bumped their record up to 12-3.

When Dimmitt and Littlefield next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Dimmitt will face off against Slaton and their six-game winning streak at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Littlefield will try to stop Shallowater's three-game winning streak when they meet at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
