Basketball Recap: Mead Extends Winning Streak to Three

Mead lost to Lewis & Clark back in January of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. Everything went the Mead Panthers' way against the Lewis & Clark Tigers as the Mead Panthers made off with a 69-48 victory. The Panthers pushed the score to 59-35 by the end of the third, a deficit the Tigers cut but never quite recovered from.

The win was the third in a row for Mead, bringing their record for this year to 8-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.3 points per game. As for Lewis & Clark, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mead will take on Ferris at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mead knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 matchups -- so hopefully Ferris likes a good challenge. As for Lewis & Clark, they will face off against Shadle Park at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
