Soccer Game Preview: King Abdullah Academy vs. Wakefield School

The King Abdullah Academy Falcons will challenge the Wakefield School Fighting Owls at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. King Abdullah Academy's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

King Abdullah Academy fell victim to Virginia Academy and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They lost 12-0 to the Patriots. While losing is never fun, King Abdullah Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 142nd, while Virginia Academy are ranked sixth).

Meanwhile, Wakefield School kept a clean sheet against Quantico on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Warriors with a sharp 4-0 win. The victory continues a trend for Wakefield School in their matchups with Quantico: they've now won five in a row.

Wakefield School's win bumped their record up to 3-0-1. As for King Abdullah Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

King Abdullah Academy suffered a grim 4-1 defeat to Wakefield School when the teams last played back in April of 2023. Can the Falcons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
