The Lake Mary Prep Griffins will challenge the Legacy Charter Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Lake Mary Prep will be strutting in after a victory while Legacy Charter will be coming in after a loss.
Legacy Charter will be up against a hot Lake Mary Prep squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Lake Mary Prep put the hurt on Crooms Academy with a sharp 10-4 win last Tuesday. That's two games straight that the Griffins have won by exactly six runs.

Landon Trauger made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Lake Mary Prep is 3-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 2-4 otherwise. Trauger was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.
In other batting news, Jaxson Roicki was excellent, scoring three runs while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. Ty Ogden was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI.
The home team had come away the winner the last four times Legacy Charter and Geneva had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. Legacy Charter fell just short of Geneva by a score of 9-8 on Friday. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
Like Lake Mary Prep, Legacy Charter also got a great game from a two-way player: Jake Threadgill. He tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Threadgill was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing Three bases. while going 2-for-3. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March of 2024.
In other batting news, James Hodge was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Lucas Pena, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Legacy Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Lake Mary Prep, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.
