Basketball Recap: Loveland Comes Up Short

Loveland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 49-36 to the Milford Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 285th, while the Eagles are ranked 27th).

Milford got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Gabby Chadwell out in front who posted nine points in addition to seven steals and five boards. Chadwell is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 16 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Violet Shuluga, who put up 14 points and eight rebounds.

Loveland's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Milford, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-3.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Loveland Tigers face off against the Little Miami Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Milford, they will face off against Winton Woods at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
