New Deal had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Tahoka Bulldogs, sneaking past 51-48. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 53-51 on January 3rd.

Tahoka lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Sacha Loi, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine boards. Another player making a difference was Caleb Watt, who posted eight points and eight rebounds.

New Deal is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 15-13 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.8 points per game. As for Tahoka, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-15.

New Deal is taking a road trip to square off against Floydada at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Floydada's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 14 games. As for Tahoka, they will challenge Abernathy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Abernathy will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Tahoka surely won't give up without a fight.
